Showstopping Brows in time for Christmas
The staying power of the big brow trend has launched a thousand new businesses and products. Finally BROWHAUS, conveniently located on the King's Road, is providing a one-stop-shop for high-brow maintenance both permanent and superficial - just in time for Christmas.
Browhaus's new King's Road salon is located upstairs from hip espresso bar A Wanted Man.
I headed upstairs and, after a quick questionnaire and cup of fruity tea, was invited to lie down in a quaintly decorated cubicle for my eyebrow threading and tinting treatment.
Eyebrow threading is when a therapist traps unwanted eyebrow hair in between two strong pieces of thread, removing them with a quick twist. As a threading virgin my skin did show some redness as you can see in the photographs. But as my therapist was skilled and worked swiftly, the process was almost painless. Personally I was more concerned with the potential for my eyebrows to be over-threaded, but Farrah my therapist left them perfectly full – and being honest – I don't think they have ever looked so neat and precisely groomed in my life.
As my hair is naturally dark, my concerned was that a tinting would not make a difference to the impact of my brows. Of course for barely-there blonde brows, tinting would make a startling difference to the face... but surely not for already dark eyebrows? Farrah informed me that the natural vegetable dye catches the finest, lightest hairs that are not usually visible. The tinting, which only took 2 minutes, visibly darkened and emboldened my brows beyond what I believed possible.
Now I am proud to say that I am Browhaus's most recently converted and will return to their King's Road branch as soon as my eyebrows start to look anything less than their, currently, dark and delightfully glamorous selves.
Appointments take around 30 minutes, the look lasts 3/4 weeks with minor (tweezing) upkeep, and at £20 this is an incredibly economical way to achieve a confidence-boosting, photo-ready new look for the holiday season.
Looking for something more permanent? Browhaus's Brow Resurrection treatment is a signature semi-permanent treatment that boasts a more detailed and natural stroke (finer than normal brow embroidery techniques). This patented, advanced technique is exclusive to Browhaus and involves 5 years of dedicated research and development to perfect. A skilful strand by strand design recreates natural lifelike brows whilst long lasting dyes mean the joy won’t fade away fast!
At the moment Browhaus are offering new customers 20% off Brow Resurrection.
